I've used import.io for a while. If you can crack some html, you're golden.
About legal issues, i've almost got into trouble. I've scraped a website products for selling in my own marketplace. They were info products, so when a user bought it from me, i went to the original merchant and bought it from them. Yeah, very scrappy.
I was selling for the same price, I was just validating the demand. So far, so good. As soon as I saw demand on that, like 3 weeks, I've deleted the products and started building a community, with my own sellers.
Three months later, the original seller sent a pretty aggressive email, accusing me of stealling his information and stuff, lawyers, etc... I was shocked.
I didn't understand how he discovered, because I had deleted the products from my store. The answer: Google. My website was ranking high on Google. So when the seller searched for his products, he found my website, directing him to a 404 page. He think it was very suspicious. So I rushed to Google Search Console and deleted those pages from showing up on search queries.
I've called him and had to tell a, well, different story. It ended well, but the lesson remains: don't be carefull with scrapping, but be with publishing this information.
