I have a question about invoice for b2b customers. Let me give you some background. I’m from Germany. In Germany as a business when you dealing with b2b customers (other companies) you need to provide a pretty formal invoice. If you don’t do it, both sides will get in serious trouble when it comes to tax audits.
I’m curious to learn how this is managed in the US? Do you need to provide an invoice if you do business with another business? If yes, are there any formal standards you need to fulfil?
I know the invoices I get from US SaaS. These are pretty informal compared to the ones we have in Germany.
