#Direct Response Copywriter & Content Strategist in Dubai - Twitter: @nabeelazeezdxb

##Who am I?
Hi, I’m Nabeel, a direct response copywriter based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I’ve lived here for the past 11 years, 7 of them with my growing family.

##My Business
I’m also the co-founder of a done-for-you content marketing agency, Dropkick Copy. Everyone loves to read, and talk, about content marketing, but very few put in the time and effort to do it right. We take content marketing off of our clients’ plates, handling everything from strategy, to execution, to promotion.

##Connect with Me
On Twitter, I’m @nabeelazeezdxb.

##What am I up to?
These days I’m working on growing my agency business and trying to get more clients on retainer.

I take on copywriting clients as they come along and do this under my personal brand.

##What am I reading?
At the moment, I’m reading “Not Caring what People Think is a Superpower” by Ed Latimore. Ed is a heavy-weight boxer and self-improvement writer. He also has a strong Twitter game. This book is a fun concept where he takes his best tweets on self-improvement, categorizes them, and writes explanations for them along with giving the reader action items. Topics cover hard work, self-control, strategy and tactics, relationships, poems, time management, and more.

(Duane Leckey) #111

Hi everyone. I’m Duane. Product & Program Manager at IBM with a focus on developing/selling software & solutions for resi- and commercial lending/servicing. I would characterize myself as an “Operator turned Product person”. I’m from NYC, but based in Portland, OR. My twitter handle is @leckeyda. I’m interested in all things tech/product. Excited to be a part of such a dynamic group of individuals. Hope to learn a ton from you all and pray my contribution can be of value to someone.

Taking some “real” vacation time this year. Will spend time with family and friends in SoCal, NYC and a much needed “cut the cord” week in Puerto Rico.

A few recent reads that have influenced me are “Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari” and “Linchpin by Seth Godin”. Currently reading - “Principles by Ray Dalio”.

(Scot Meyer) #112

Hi all,

I’m Scot. I am part of a PWM team at Morgan Stanley (@566teamMS) that helps entrepreneurs/VCs manage investments and consider the big picture when making smart financial decisions.

I’m currently working with private company executives and early employees to understand their equity and sketch a roadmap around what various liquidity scenarios might mean for them.

Books I’d recommend…
-Recently finished All Waves are Water (Jaimal Yogis) - great perspective from an SF based surfer, Buddhist, and journalist.
-Venture Deals (Brad Feld) - 50 pages in and already so much great material on the world of VC/entrepreneurs.

(Raj Rao) #113

Hi everybody!

I’m Raj @rjkrao and I’m the GM for Vertecx, a startup building a social platform for mobile and standalone VR.

I’ve been part of the team for a few months now, had previous business development/marketing roles at 2 startups and was with Intel as a business analyst for a few years before that.

I came to tech by accident. I spent years growing up emphatically not wanting anything to do with STEM. Part of it was because I felt it being “forced” on me by parents/community, I did have genuine interest and talent in other fields, and partly because I felt that I was “unsuited” for it. But I’m very much in it now and enjoy every minute and reading articles like this over the years have changed my thinking on the field:
